Russell A. Clark, age 96, passed away on November 9, 2017.
Born in Drexel Hill, PA he was the son of the late Russell S. and Althea Clark . Russ was a 1939 graduate of Upper Darby High School and proudly served his country in the Army during World War II in the South Pacific Corridor. He worked for the Postal Service for 30 years. Russ served as a Pennsylvania State Fire Marshall for 10 years and was a 79 year member of The Garrettford-Drexel Hill Fire Company, serving as Assistant Chief for 10 years and also serving as Financial Secretary.
Russ was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Elizabeth V. Clark (nee O'Brien). He is survived by his dear sons Jack Clark (Beverly) and James Clark (Peggy Marciano), his cherished grandchildren Jodi, Jamie, Amy, Beth, Sean, Kevin and John and his great-grandchildren Jackie, Kaylin, Nick, Chris, Sienna, Connor, Jack and Justin. He is also survived by his sister Joan Gunn (the late Howard) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, November 20, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Garrettford-Drexel Hill Fire Company, 323 Edmonds Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 would be appreciated.
