S. Lazzarotti

S. James (Jim) Lazzarotti, age 89, of Broomall, PA, passed away on December 3, 2018.
Jim was the son of the late Sebastian and Carmella (nee Gaia) Lazzarotti.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, and then went on to work for Unisys as a Mechanical Engineer.
Jim was devoted to his dearest wife, "Kitty." Jim loved his home in Broomall and being with family. With Kitty, he enjoyed visiting the Jersey shore points, especially Stone Harbor, Cape May, and the Wildwood Boardwalk. After the kids were older, they enjoyed traveling together. In their later years, he was her loving caregiver and his life revolved around meeting her every need.
Jim was a true father to his children and a "father" to all the neighborhood kids. His nicknames were "Big Daddy" and "Ole Chicken Legs." Jim loved playing with his children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. He loved all animals and had a special attachment to the stray cat he rescued.
Jim had many talents. He loved to design and build furniture, toys, and home renovations. He especially enjoyed helping his children with their own home improvements and carpentry projects. Jim was an avid artist with painting, drawing and design talents. He was known for his amazing sand sculptures on the Jersey shore. He was the best chef in the family household and we enjoyed all of his meals.
James was a devout Catholic and revered his time saying the rosary. He was a fun, smart, kind, and generous man who will be greatly missed by all.
James was the beloved husband of the late Catherine L. "Kitty" (nee McAndrews) Lazzarotti; the loving father of Carmel Sabatini, James Lazzarotti (Kathy), Annette Lazzarotti, Michael Lazzarotti, Joseph Lazzarotti (Jackie Kramer), Kathryn Lazzarotti, and Kristin Lazzarotti. He was the devoted grandfather of eight and the dear great-grandfather of four.
