Sally Frances Baldino

April 10, 1929 — November 7, 2024

Sally Frances Baldino, beloved educator, artist, and devoted family matriarch, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy marked by strength and creativity. She was born in Lodi, NJ, on April 10, 1929, to Salvatore Cannizzaro and Mary Bongiovi. Alongside her older brother, Stephen, Sally grew up with a simple yet rich appreciation for the warmth of family and the power of resilience. Her father passed when she was only a month old, leaving her mother to instill in Sally the values of family, faith, and education that would define her life.

For 40 years, Sally was married to Frank Baldino, Sr., and together had four sons: Frank Jr., Guy Joseph, Mark, and Paul. In 1968, they moved their family to Lower Makefield, PA, where Sally earned a master’s in education from Beaver College (now Arcadia University), and dedicated 27 years to teaching mentally and physically handicapped children, always striving to make a difference in their lives.

Sally’s artistic spirit found expression in watercolor painting that she nurtured for decades, and was a member of Artsbridge in Stockton, NJ, and Artists of Yardley in Yardley, PA. Travel was a passion of hers and enthusiastically learning about new places, and its culture, art and people. She carried her easel on her back on countless travels to record her memories in vivid color.

Cooking was another of Sally’s beloved pursuits, a talent she shared lovingly with her family. Her book “Cooking with Harris,” commemorates cherished family moments gathered around the table, passing down recipes and memories to her children and grandchildren.

Sally leaves behind friends and family that respect and treasure her memory, honoring her in all her complexity. She is survived by her sons, Guy and Paul; her daughter-in-law, Sandra (wife of Frank Jr.); her grandsons Jeffrey, Elias, Douglas, and Harris; and her great-grandchildren Anabel, Isla, and Eva. She is also remembered with love by her nephew Stephen, and nieces Patricia and Sandra. Predeceased by her husband, sons Mark and Frank Jr., her parents, brother, and sister-in-law Sadie, Sally’s family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with them in peace.

To honor Sally’s memory, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (http://www.stjude.org/givehope).
