Samuel E. Lappen

Samuel E. Lappen, age 66, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on August 22, 2024. Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Dorothy H. (nee Lear) and Samuel S. Lappen Jr.

Samuel's journey began at Collingdale High School, from which he graduated in 1976. He pursued his passions with diligence, attending Williamson Trade School, where he earned a degree in Machine Tool Technology in 1979. With an unwavering commitment to education and professional growth, he later obtained his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Spring Garden College in 1989. His career as a Systems Analyst at Boeing Helicopters was one marked by ingenuity and dedication, earning the respect of colleagues and superiors alike.

A fervent devotee of life’s simple pleasures, Samuel relished spending quality time with family, creating memories that would last generations. His love for golfing was matched only by his fervor for Philly sports, where he passionately supported his teams with an unabashed enthusiasm that drew others to him.

Samuel was the beloved husband of Maria Lappen (nee Iannone); loving father of Samuel Lappen (Laura) and Stephanie Borowski (Joseph); adoring grandfather of Jacob Lappen; caring brother of Carole Lappen Kustafik (John), Barbara Lappen Blankmeyer (William Jr.), and the late Ruth Ann Clemens (Francis); loved by many neices and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Samuel’s Viewing 9:00-11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave, Morton, PA 19070, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA 19064.
