Mrs. Sarah Bowen Hull, 93 years old, of Newtown Square, PA passed away at White Horse Village on Friday, May 5, 2023.
‘Sally,’ as she was affectionately known, was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Hull; a devoted mother to Dr. Robert B. Hull (Gudrun) of Flower Mound, TX, Julianne Elicker (John) of West Chester, PA, John S. Hull of Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, Sarah E. Hull of West Chester, PA, and the late Nancy L. Hull of Richmond, MA.
One of her greatest joys was spending time with her eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was an active volunteer, first as a Deacon at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Berwyn, PA, and had recently received an award for 20 years of volunteer service at Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM), in West Chester, PA.
Sally had also been an athlete, and attended Smith College in Northampton, MA as a Religious Studies major. Upon graduation, she married Bob Hull, and they moved to Berwyn, PA. They later moved to Willistown Township in 1963, where they lived for 50 years, prior to her move to White Horse Village.
She enjoyed the outdoors, and, in addition to raising five children, could be found golfing with her friends, playing in couples’ tennis groups, gardening, and walking. Over the past ten years, she also enjoyed singing in the White Horse Village Choir. Her family, friends, and pets were everything to her, and she was known for her warmth, care for others, and light.
A memorial service will be held at White Horse Village, Newtown Square, PA 1:00 PM Thursday, June 1, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Community Volunteers in Medicine, www.CVIM.org.
