Sarah Saul

Sarah S. Saul (nee Gruber), 75, of Townsend, DE, passed away on August 25, 2021.

Born in Allentown, PA in 1945, she was the daughter of the late William Irwin and Bessie Mae (nee Hartman) Gruber.

Sarah attended Penn State University where she studied English and would later go on to write freelance articles for the Daily Local News. She spent the majority of her professional career working in retail for major department stores such as Strawbridge’s, Boscov’s and Macy’s selling and marketing for numerous high end beauty and fashion lines. She loved art, reading, gardening, and animals, especially cats. She continuously supported organizations such as the Human Society, SPCA and Special Olympics. Most of all, Sarah was completely devoted to her family, and would always boast that her 4 sons were her proudest achievement in life. Those that had the pleasure of knowing Sarah couldn’t help but be struck by how truly kind and caring of a person she genuinely was.

Sarah was the beloved partner of the late Henry T. Nowak; loving mother of Michael Benjamin Saul, David Andrew Saul, Adam Jason Saul, and Jason Joel Saul; adoring grandmother of Jacob Saul; dear sister of William Gruber and Susan Fetterman.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:30-11:30 AM Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery.
