Saverio F. Romeo, age 48, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away suddenly on August 24, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Francesco Romeo and the late Celeste Romeo (nee Marinaccio). Saverio was a self-employed stone mason.
He is survived by his wife Eva Romeo (nee Garasopoulos), his children Gabriella, Gina and Francesco Romeo, his grandchildren Asia and Nina Romeo, and his siblings Carmela Quinlan, Concetta Zalas and Salvatore Romeo. He was predeceased by his brother Tony Romeo.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday 7:00-9:00 PM and Friday 8:30-9:30 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby and to his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
