Sharon Dixon

February 14, 1944 — October 4, 2017

Sharon Z. Dixon (nee Santos), 73, of Del Haven in Cape May County, NJ passed away on October 4, 2017.



Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1944, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Constance (Maybreau) Santos.



Sharon enjoyed traveling all over the world, but especially the Hawaiian Islands. She was an excellent cook and loved hosting family parties and reunions. She worked as a toll collector on the Tacony Palmyra Bridge and was the first female Bascule bridge operator, opebnng the bridge for ships to pass through.



Sharon was the loving mother of William Funk (Anna) and Joseph Edward Funk (Vicky); loving grandmother of Madison, Sharon, Tiffany and Robert; Significant other for 11 years of Win Moyer. Also survived by her beloved dog, Ringo.
