Sheila M. Shannon (nee McHugh), 84, of West Chester, PA passed away on April 6, 2017.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1932, she was the daughter of the late Manus and Ella (nee Randolph) McHugh. Sheila enjoyed playing golf and bridge, as well as watching her grandchildren's sporting events.
Shelia was the beloved wife of the late Francis W. Shannon; loving mother of Francis P. Shannon (Mary), Michael J. Shannon (Amy), Patrick J. Shannon (Diane), and the late Timothy J. Shannon (Jenifer); devoted grandmother of Francis Shannon, Michael Shannon, Regina Linganna (Ashok), Matthew Shannon, John Shannon, Mary Katherine Shannon, Ryan Shannon, Andrew Shannon, and Daniel Shannon; dear sister of Elaine Sharer, Mary O'Grady (the late John), Manus McHugh (Lane), and Brian McHugh (Jill).
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:15-10:15 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at SS Peter & Paul Church, 1325 Boot Road, West Chester, PA 19380 followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to in her name to the Timothy J. Shannon Memorial Scholarship Fund at Devon Preparatory School, 363 North Valley Forge Rd, Devon, PA 19333.
