Shirley V. Lagore

Shirley V. Lagore (née Delaney), 91, of West Chester, PA passed away on July 16, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1931, Shirley was the daughter of the late David and Edna (née Gummel) Delaney.

Shirley had many fond memories of visiting Maine as a child and enjoyed traveling with her husband to Europe. She especially loved Ocean City, NJ. She was an avid reader, loved the Bible and devotional readings and took great interest in current events. Her deep faith and her family were the most important things in her life. She took the greatest pleasure in caring for and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shirley was the loving wife of the late Joseph A. Lagore; beloved mother of Linda Iannelli (Steven), Kathryn Chu (Wilson) and Joseph D. Lagore (Christine); cherished grandmother of Lisa Iannelli, John Iannelli (Michelle), Laura Rohrbaugh (Joshua), Jessica Chu (Justin Foley), Katelyn Lagore and Joseph Lagore; adoring great-grandmother of Matthew, Finn, Nathan and Olivia; and dear aunt of Beth Thomas (Jeff), Carolyn Donahue (Greg), Kathy Keller (Scott) and David Houseal (Krissie).

She was predeceased by her dearly loved younger sister, Carol Houseal (Russell).

A service of Christian worship and celebration of life will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 730 South New Street, West Chester, PA 19382.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Lutheran Church.
