Sr. Dorothy Cunnion, S.H.C.J., formerly Mother Mary Jerome, passed away on October 10, 2018.
Sister was 91 years of age.
Born in New York, NY, Sister was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Cunnion (nee Delany).
Sister received both her Bachelor's Degree and her Master's Degree in Education from Villanova University.
Sister held many positions as Teacher, Principal, School Administrator, Superior, Provincial Council member, Pastoral Ministry, Business Manager and Coordinator at New Sharon.
Sister ministered at St. Walburga School, Saints Peter and Paul School, Our Lady of Lourdes School and Parish all in New York, the School of the Holy Child, Rosemont, PA, and the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus Infirmary in Rye, NY and New Sharon, Rosemont, PA.
Sister is survived by her dear sister, Patricia Cunnion Smith and her nieces and nephews.
Religious, relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday, October 17, 2018 10:00-11:00 AM New Sharon Chapel, 1341 Montgomery Avenue, Rosemont, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
A Wake Service will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 4:00 PM in New Sharon Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, 1341 Montgomery Avenue, Rosemont, PA 19010 would be appreciated.
