Sister Loretta Irene Tiernan, S.H.C.J., formerly Mother Mary Clarice, pased away on February 5, 2019.
Sister was 80 years of age.
Born in Waukegan, IL, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frank H. and Clara Tiernan (nee Brozowski).
Sister was a teacher and a pastoral minister.
Her places of ministry included St. Veronica and St. Ignatius Schools in Chicago, IL, St. Anastasia School in Waukegan, IL, St. Rose School, Portland, OR, Mayfield School of the Holy Child, Pasadena, CA, Victory Memorial Hospital, in Waukegan, IL and Saints Joseph and Bartholomew Parish.
Sister is survived by her dear sister Mary Ann Grazier. She is also survived by her nieces Diane Richardson (Gerald) and Heather Grazier (James) and her nephews Thomas Grazier (Susan) and Kenneth Grazier (Diane).
Predeceased by her brother-in-law Robert L. Grazier and her nephews Barry J. Grazier and James R. Grazier.
Religious, relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday, February 9, 2019 10:00-11:00 AM New Sharon Chapel, 1341 Montgomery Avenue, Rosemont, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
Interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
A Wake Service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 4:00 PM in New Sharon Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Society of the Holy Child Jesus at the above address would be appreciated.
