Sr. Maria Immaculata DiBlasi, S.H.C.J., formerly Mother Maria Immaculata, passed away on September 10, 2018.
Sister was 91 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Gaetano and Angelina DiBlasi (nee Pescatore).
Sister's many occupations included Teacher, School Principal, Guidance Counselor, and Retirement Planning Coordinator for the Society of the Holy Child Jesus.
Sister's places of ministry included St. James School, St. Edward School, St. Leonard's Academy and St. Joseph Preparatory School all located in Philadelphia, and Archbishop Prendergast High School in Drexel Hill, PA.
In addition to her parents, Sister was predeceased by her siblings Rosalind Moziani, Leonilda Hunt (the late John), Paul DiBlasi, Enrico DiBlasi, Richard DiBlasi, Peter DiBlasi and spouse, Julia.
She is survived by her sisters Philomena Marino, Rae DiBlasi and Mildred Ricchiuti (the late Vincent). Sister-in-law of Pasquale Marino, Terri DiBlasi, Esther DiBlasi, and Carol DiBlasi. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Religious, relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday, September 15, 2018 10:00-11:00 AM New Sharon Chapel, 1341 Montgomery Avenue, Rosemont, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
A Wake Service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018
at 4:00 PM in New Sharon Chapel.
