Stanley W. Siberski, DDS, 92 years of age, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on February 21, 2017. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley J. and Rose Siberski (nee Gawlik).
Dr. Siberski graduated from Wilkes College, entered the University of Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1953. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II in the 98th Bombardment Group, B-24 tail-gunner and was honorably discharged in 1945 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed seeing the B-24 Liberator warplane when it came to Chester County. He was able to give the tour of the plane and a few war stories along with it.
Dr. Siberski was a dentist for 52 years and was the only dentist in Newtown Square when he first started his practice. You would be serenaded by the sounds of Country and Western music at the dental office. It was a real treat when he would sing along with Loretta Lynn or Conway Twitty or any of the other great ol' time C&W singers when he was cleaning your teeth.
Dr. Siberski was never without a sense of humor. He made sure to rotate his jokes every six months to keep things fresh. Toothbrushes and plaque indicator tablets were given out at Halloween.
He loved to travel and the dental conventions always gave him an idea of where the next vacation would be. He was quite fond of the West
-
Wyoming, Colorado, Montana -- and the family took many vacations there. He was an amateur travel agent at heart, always make the road getting there an adventure itself.
Dr. Siberski considered dentistry to be a hobby, so when he finally retired after 52 years, he needed a new hobby. He would walk the yard to pick up the sticks and worked it into his exercise routine, so much so that he called himself the "Branch Manager."
After a heavy snowfall, he offered his services to Newtown Township to help plow the snow with his newly equipped walker. His photo made the Township Newsletter as the "Plow Doc".
Dr. Siberski was a beloved by many Villanova students as well and was affectionately called "Doc" and Regi was referred to as the "Boss." When grandchildren finally came along, they were lovingly known as GrandDoc and GrandBoss.
Dr. Siberski is survived by his beloved wife, Regina "Regi" R. (nee Rutecki), with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Also survived by his loving children Duane D. (Linda), Laura M. Scanlon (Dale), Linda M. Somogyi (Paul), and S. Douglas Siberski. He was the amazing GrandDoc of Cayley, Justin, Eilyse and Misha. He is also survived by his siblings Carl Siberski and Jean Oshirak.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family on Monday, February 27, 2017 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM. Interment to be private.
