Stephan John Kmeco

Stephan John Kmeco, 68 of Prospect Park, PA passed away at home on October 8, 2023.

Born in 1955 and raised in Drexel Hill, Steve was the son of late Michael F. and Marie Regina (née Crossin) Kmeco.

He was the beloved brother of Eileen Kirwan (Ken) of Alexandria, VA and Nancy Donahue (Dan) of Broomall, PA.; loving uncle of Marie, Danny, Katie and Michael (Amy) Donahue and Michael Kirwan; great-uncle of Sommer, Charlie, Kevin, John, Luke, Keira, Lilyanna and Maya. He is also survived by his Aunt, Mae B. Kmeco of Arlington, VA and his long-time friend, Pat McWilliams of Drexel Hill, PA.

Steve was a 1973 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School, a 1977 graduate of University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, where he received a degree in Journalism and 1984 graduate of Temple University, where he earned his MBA in Accounting.

Steve was a longtime member of MENSA, and the Field and Stream Association in Brookhaven, PA.

During his life, he enjoyed deep sea fishing, traveling the USA by automobile, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with his family, friends and neighbors. He played a very active role in the lives of his nieces and nephews.

He retired from the US Postal Service.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Stephan's life from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM Monday, October 23, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 followed by his Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.
