Stephen "Steve" Casper

Stephen "Steve" Peter Casper, 86, of West Chester, formerly of Albrightsville and Delaware County, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2024.

Born December 25, 1937, in Darby, PA he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (nee Keane) Casper.

Steve was a caring and thoughtful person who was always willing to assist others. Steve enjoyed his retirement in the Poconos. He liked watching TV westerns, bull riding shows, and hockey games. Steve had fun going out for ‘a pint’ on occasion. Throughout Steve’s life he enjoyed horses, whether it was riding them or just watching them. To relax, Steve would put on his favorite classic country music. Steve liked everything about cars, appreciating vintage cars to tinkering with his own car.

Steve was the beloved husband of almost 60 years of the late Frances Rose (nee Ciccotello) Casper; loving father of the late Frances O’Neill (Christopher), Diane De Angelis (Steven), and Susan Casper (Arthur Minissa); grandfather of four; and brother of Frank Casper (Mary), Margaret Welsh (Joe), Mary Maloney (Jimmie), and Joe Casper. He was the honorary father of Regina Pollock (Kevin) and Nancy Holland.

Steve fought a courageous battle with lung cancer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Paoli Cancer Center, 255 W. Lancaster Ave., Paoli, PA 19301.

Relatives and friends are invited to Steve’s visitation 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM, Saturday September 28, 2024, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Rd., West Chester, PA 19380, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
