Stephen P. Gerry

It is with great sadness that Stephen P. Gerry, 73, of Downingtown, PA, passed away suddenly on June 14, 2023 in his home.

Steve was the loving father of Amy G. Smith (Barry) of Philadelphia, PA and William D. Gerry (Megan) of Williamsburg, VA and the proud “Pops” of Ethan, Ryan, Sam, Jake and Matthew Smith and Sophia and Jack Gerry.

He was born in Newport, Rhode Island on October 20, 1949 to the late Clement D. and Mary (née Ramos) Gerry.  Steve graduated from Rogers Hight School in Newport and went on to Penn State University.

An only child, Steve grew up in Newport with his Ramos cousins who were like siblings. Steve found a second family at the Kings Highway Inn in Downingtown, PA which he ran for 20 years. Steve enjoyed family, friends and Philadelphia sports.

A private service will be held in Newport, RI.
