Stephen M. Putz, age 58, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on November 14, 2013. Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Thomas and Helen Putz (nee Yanchocik). He was a graduate of Phoenixville High School where he was a star Varsity Football player in 1972-73.
Stephen was employed by PennDot as an equipment operator for 37 years. He retired in 2010. He was a Union President of AFSCME Local 2155 for over 10 years.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his step-daughters Monica Haase (Nicholas Willoughby) and Eileen Haase, his step-grandchild Natasha Haase, his sister Leslie Beavers (Scott), his brother Thomas Putz, Jr. and his niece Tara Beavers Abel.
Stephen's wishes were that his services and interment be private.
Contributions in his memory to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380 would be appreciated.
