Stephen Yankanich Jr.

Stephen Yankanich, Jr. aka "The Silver Fox", 87, of Swarthmore, Pa passed away on October 17, 2017. He was the son of the late Stephen and Mary (nee Adomnik) Yankanich, Sr. and was also predeceased by his first wife Dorothy (nee Hardy) Yankanich and his Beloved Wife and Best Friend Betty Lou (nee Eagle) Yankanich. Stephen was born in Woodlyn, Pa and graduated from Ridley High School in 1948. He worked for Baldwin's as a machinist and estimator and also for Sun Ship. He also worked at Ridgeways as a purchasing agent until his retirement. Steve was a hard worker and good provider. He instilled in his daughters their worth, not only as human beings, but also as women, setting an example by how he lived and treated others. He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years and was a fan of the Phillies. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed being outdoors gardening and sitting on his swing with his late wife. Steve's great sense of humor was loved by all who came in contact with him, and he was loved by many. He is survived by his beloved children Debra Sellers, Bonnie Hackworth, Kathy Michel (Rob), Tracey Richards, step-children Richard Eagle (Lynda), Robert Eagle (Jane), Shirlee Zarro , Linda Spadaro (Michael), 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was also the loving brother of Mary Yankanich, Betty Boyer, Margie Giger, Judi Sadusky , the late Barbara Wimer, the late Janet Randel and the late John Yankanich.
