Steven A. Treichel

Steven A. Treichel, age 72, of West Chester, PA, passed away on August 1, 2024.

Born in Upper Darby, PA, he was the son of the late John F. and Louise (née Kabakjian) Treichel.

Steve was a distinguished Mechanical Engineer in the building materials industry. He was dedicated to his work, founding hundreds of patents and revolutionizing the delivery and safety of essential utilities.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Steve was known for his vibrant personality that made him truly young at heart. He approached life with a zest for adventure and an unwavering enthusiasm for all that he pursued. His love for the Caribbean was well known, judging by his many vacation trips there.

Steve was also remembered for his dedication to fitness and was affectionately referred to as a "gym rat" by those who knew him best. In his leisure time, Steve found enjoyment in skiing, golfing, playing racquetball, as well as playing his baby grand piano.

Steve was the beloved husband of Denise A. (née Spiron) Treichel; the loving father of Jason Treichel and Brian Treichel (Erica); and the proud grandfather of Hailey. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Gruenwald and Terry Passon, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

A time of Visitation will take place to honor Steve’s life on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000.
