Suzanne E. McLaughlin, 48, formerly a school bus aide for special needs children employed at On The Go Kids, Inc., died from complications from Polymyositis, secondary to Quadriplegia.
She had an unassuming nature, a curious mind, and a gentle spirit. Suzie enjoyed nature, reading, Ocean City, NJ, and Villanova University Sports. Her world revolved around her family. She was so very loved and will be forever missed.
Suzie was also very proud of her heritage. Her mother's family, which included 6 Dougherty physicians who were responsible for founding the Mercy Hospital Organization now a part of Geisinger Health System. On her father's side, she was proud of the existing McLaughlin Funeral Home Organization, which was founded in 1898.
She is survived by her father and best friend, Michael J. McLaughlin, III; predeceased by her mother Catherine F. Dougherty-McLaughlin and brother Michael J McLaughlin IV; also survived by her two sisters, Maureen McLaughlin Brady and Kathleen McLaughlin Miles and her Aunt Patricia and Dr. Frank Kane, Aunt Alice and William Knowles and nieces, Karen, Lauren, Meghan, Kelly and Emy, and numerous cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Tuesday, September 8, 9:45-10:45 A.M. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 135 Fairfield Lane, Strafford, PA 19087, and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment Private.
