Suzanne “Sue” Sharr (née Saunders), age 61, of West Chester PA, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Sue was the beloved wife of Timothy Sharr. Loving mother of Kerri (Sean) Ryan, Natalie (Mike) McDevitt, Tim (Belinda) Sharr, Nikki (Jack) Pezzino, and Daniel Sharr. Loving Daughter of John H. Saunders and the late Eileen Saunders. She was the caring sister to Jack (Cathy) Saunders, Tim (Kathy) Saunders, Eileen (Don) Byrne, Brian (Margie) Saunders, Megan Butler, and Jen (Jay) Jacobson. She is survived by her nine beautiful grandchildren: James, Jack, Lucy, Owen, Freddie, Harper, Declan, Delaney, and Shane, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Born in Philadelphia, Sue was raised in Drexel Hill and graduated from Upper Darby HS. Sue was blessed with close siblings who were her first friends and many dear friends from the neighborhood. She strengthened existing friendships and created some of her favorite memories during summer trips to Sea Isle in her younger years. Sue maintained those friendships for life via many annual Girls Weekend Trips to the Jersey Shore. She met the love of her life and future husband through their mutual friends. Sue and Tim had five wonderful children together and were happily married for forty years.
Sue worked full-time and climbed the career ladder while working in the Pharma Industry. She held several support and management roles with Bio-Pharm, Omnicare and Auxilium. Sue ended her career as an HR Director with Baudax Bio and then went on to five happy years as an HR Consultant for The O’Connor Group. Sue was an incredibly dedicated worker for every organization and was actually still working during her illness until late March. Sue formed so many fond friendships with coworkers over the decades and cherished them always. After the kids were older, one of her proudest accomplishments was returning to school at night and graduating from Immaculata University with her Bachelors in HR Management.
Sue found her greatest fulfillment in being a mother to her five children. Sue led her children by example. She showed them that anything could be accomplished with hard work and sacrifice. There were many nights and weekends spent driving to sporting events and competitions, play dates, sleepovers and dances. She was an unbelievable mother and the best resource for advice on a bad day. Sue enjoyed traveling and had some unique full family vacations to places like Disney World, London and Bristol UK, Ireland... and of course to Sea Isle City, NJ.
Later in her life, Sue finally had time after raising a family to dive into her crafting passion. She loved crocheting, sewing, and embroidery. Sue loved making gifts and clothes for her friends and children, but most especially her nine grandchildren.
Sue's legacy is one of a life centered around family and friends, marked by love and unwavering faith in God. Even in her final days, she continued to count her blessings.
