Teresa B. Kuhar

Teresa B. Kuhar (nee Belisario), age 81, of Reading, PA, passed away on February 13, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1943, Teresa was the daughter of the late Umberto (Albert) and Mary Yolanda (nee Pierantozzi) Belisario. She graduated from Drexel University in 1967 with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. Teresa worked for the Defense Department as a chemist from 1967-1970. She taught chemistry, general science, and mathematics in the Exeter school district. Teresa became certified to teach mathematics at Albright College and Kutztown University. She started her Master's degree at Temple University. 

Teresa was a member of Hopewell Christian Church and Reading Quaker Meeting House. She volunteered for many years at the Hay Creek Valley Historical Society and the Angel Cat Network. Teresa loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She loved listening to music, crafting, quilting, and sewing. Teresa gave free sewing lessons at the community center.

Teresa was the beloved wife of the late Robert Joseph Kuhar; loving mother of Melinda Beth Kuhar and James Joseph Kuhar; dear sister of Marcelliano Belisario.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 11:00-11:30 AM Saturday, March 15, 2025 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment private.
