Teresa M. Kunberger (nee Caltagirone), age 91, of Lima Estates in Media, PA, formerly of Broomall, PA, passed away on December 22, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Anna Caltagirone (nee Vena). She was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia. She was employed as an Executive Secretary for the U.S. Government and also worked at Cardinal O'Hara High School and Divine Providence Village both in Springfield, PA.
She was predeceased by her husband, Martin J. Kunberger and her daughter, Karen Kazanjian. She is survived by her children Janice A. Figenshu (William), Donna Marie Waters (Charles) and JoAnn Kunberger, her son-in-law Stephen Kazanjian, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Teresa was known as Terry and enjoyed nights playing card games like Fan Tan with friends and family. Terry knitted extra warm afghans for her family and for children in local hospitals. She listened to Frank Sinatra music and knew that when it came to movies, "they just don't make 'em like they used to." She sang-hummed "You Are My Sunshine" and reminded drivers before leaving the house that they were "precious cargo." She sewed costumes, and hems, and holes in shirts and often mended something else that she hadn't been asked to fix. Terry kissed you eight or nine times in a row before saying goodbye. She lived a long life with much love, and many devoted family and caretakers nearby at all times.
