Thelma Marie Jones (nee Olivo), age 92, of Philadelphia, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on May 16, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Silvio and Assunta Olivo (nee Matteucci). Thelma had been employed as an Executive Secretary for the United States Government.
Thelma enjoyed Broadway musicals, traveling, classic movies, Christmas and Christmas ornaments, reading, cooking and Italian opera.
Thelma was predeceased by her beloved husband, William J. Jones and her siblings Theresa LaGreca, Bruno Olivo, Laura O. Caniglia and Marie Viglione. She is survived by her loving children William J. Jones, III, Susan Jones March and Robert C. Jones, her grandchildren Jessica Jones Hildebrandt, Amy Jones Campbell, Erica March, Andrew March, and Nathan Jones and her great-grandchildren John, Tyler Hildebrandt and Lucia Campbell.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, May 19, 2017 9:30-10:25 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Thelma's name to the American Stroke Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231 would be appreciated.
