Theodhora Shyti, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 23rd, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albania, Theodhora faced early challenges, losing her father when she was just two months old. Raised by her devoted single mother, Violeta, and with the loving support of her uncle Thanas and aunt Artemisi, she grew up alongside her cousins Gjergji, Ligor, Natasha, and Eftali, whom she considered siblings.
Theodhora graduated from the University of Tirana in 1965 with a degree in Pharmacy. She spent over 30 years working as a pharmacist in the city of Korça, a profession she loved and took great pride in, helping her community. She married her cherished husband, Viktor Shyti, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.
In 1996, Theodhora emigrated to the United States, where she dedicated 20 years to serving the students of Upper Darby High School as a beloved “lunch lady.” After retiring, Theodhora enjoyed her time with her husband, surrounded by her loving family: her son Rafael and daughter-in-law Eranda, her daughter Eleni and son-in-law Petros, and her grandchildren Victor, Elliot, Anna, and Violetta. She found joy in gardening, sewing, and tending to her flowers. A devout and religious woman, her warmth, dedication, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to Theodora's viewing on Tuesday, August 27th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA.
