Theodore McGuigan, Sr.
April 12, 1929 — August 9, 2016
Theodore F. McGuigan, Sr., age 87, of Sharon Hill, PA, passed away on August 9, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Albert R. and Florence C. McGuigan (nee Hoopes).
Theodore was a graduate of Collingdale High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the USS Hood. He was very proud of being a butcher and baker while in the Navy. He was employed as a Supervisor for Croda, Inc. in Frazer, PA. He retired in 1991.
Besides the love for his family, Theodore enjoyed collecting lighthouse figurines and photos. He also enjoyed giving treats, including Dum Dum Lollipops.
Theodore was predeceased by his beloved wife Jean M. Mcguigan (nee Morris) Mother of his children and 2nd wife Harriet McGuigan (nee Johnson). He is survived by his children Valerie A. McGuigan, Vincent A. McGuigan, Theodore F. McGuigan, Jr. and Jeanette M. McGuigan, Son in Law Scott K. Mercer, step- daughter Eunice his grandchildren Sharon M. Goodman, Rachel L. McGuigan, Kelly A. McGuigan, Christopher M. Foley, step- grandaughter Shelly and two step-grandsons,10 great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews Michael, Dennis, Susan, Michele, Christopher, Peggy, Chuck (little Charlie), Jason and Michael and 3 great- nephews, Brian, Josh and George and Predeceased by his nephew Kirk and Niece Kelly and 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Wednesday, August 17, 2016, 10:00 AM-11:00 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment is private.
