Theodore "Ted" J. Fiala, Jr.

Theodore J. “Ted” Fiala, Jr., age 84, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2022.

Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Theodore J. Fiala, Sr. and Suzanne (née Long) Fiala.

Theodore, who was known as “Ted” to his family and friends, was an avid golfer. He loved cars, especially classic and antique cars. He treasured his Thunderbird, 1969 Firebird, and ultimately his Cadillacs.  Ted loved to feed the many birds in his backyard and to take golf vacations in Myrtle Beach, SC. After retiring from Clifton Precision (35 years), he enjoyed working at Aronimink Golf Club.  He was always positive and loved talking to friends about cars and golf.  He could never turn down a good crab cake or birthday cake.

Ted was the loving father of Ted Fiala (Marlene) and the late Karen M. Fiala.  He was the proud grandfather of Rhiannon Sayles (Darion), Toby Fiala (Jamie) and Jackson Fiala and caring great-grandfather of Zoey Sayles.  He is also survived by his dear sister, Lynne Thompson (Bob), as well as nephews, Robert Thompson, Andrew Thompson and Peter Thompson, and longtime friend, Kathy Farrar.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Monday, December 19, 2022, 9:30 to 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073, 610-353-6300, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Interment Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
