Theresa Coyle

April 17, 1928 — February 14, 2014

Theresa M. (nee O'Connor) Coyle, 85 entered into eternal peace on Friday, February 14, 2014 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 17, 1928 in Philadelphia, graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls, resided for many years in Upper Darby, and lived in Havertown.



Theresa, fondly known as "The Change Lady" during her numerous years of service at Monsignor Bonner High School, retired in 1997.



The daughter of the late Thomas and Mary O'Connor, she was preceded in death by her late husbands, Matthew Coyle and William Tumelty. The loving mother of Tom (Patty), Terri Thompson, Kathy Capodici (Bobby), Tricia Fitti (Steve), Robert (Joy), Debi Coyle, Billy (Kathy), Theresa was also survived by her sister Josephine Ross, twenty grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and many special extended family.



Attending special events, spending time at the Shore, and cheering on her Philadelphia sports teams, were all activities that revolved around Theresa's most important interest, her family. As evidenced by the numerous photographs that surrounded her room, "The Gang" was everything for Theresa.



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, February 20, 2014 6-9 PM and Friday, February 21, 2014 8:30-10 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM at St. Cyril of Alexandria Roman Catholic Church, 153 Penn Boulevard, East Lansdowne, PA 19050. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
