Theresa Leger

Theresa M. St. Leger, age 89, of Media, PA, formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on January 3, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine M. St. Leger (nee Mahoney).
Theresa was a 1945 graduate of West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia, a 1948 graduate of Fitzgerald-Mercy School of Nursing where she received her RN-Diploma, received her B.S.N. from Villanova University in 1958 and her M.A. in 1962 from Teachers' College at Columbia University in New York. She was a Professor of Nursing at Delaware County Community College from 1970-1984. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Nurses Association, the Pennsylvania League for Nursing and the School of Nursing Alumnae.
Theresa is survived by her siblings John St. Leger, Michael St. Leger, and Kathleen Mullin, and many loving nieces, nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph St. Leger, and her sister, Mary Maloy.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday, January 9, 2017 9:15-10:15 AM St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o St. Francis of Assisi Church at the above address would be appreciated.
