Theresa Ritacco

Theresa E. Ritacco ("Aunt Tess"), age 98, of Clifton Heights, PA passed away on March 5, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Atillio and Antoinette Ritacco (nee Bruno). She is survived by her brother Anthony Ritacco and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers, John Guaglianone, Pasquale, Emilio and Ernie Ritacco.

She loved to host her family for Sunday gravy and homemade pasta as well as Seven Fishes Dinner on Christmas Eve. Her other specialties included braciole and pork roast and she showed her love by baking Christmas cookies, pound cake and Jewish apple cake for her friends and family.

A daily communicant, she spent her time going to Mass, saying the daily rosary and was a parishioner at Holy Cross Church in Springfield, PA for 65 years. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and cheered them on each game whether they won or lost. Tessie enjoyed watching “Everybody Loves Raymond.” She loved attending family dinners and family events. She had wonderful memories of her trip to Italy, bowling with her friends at St. Alice Church and going on trips to Atlantic City and putting her feet up with a cold glass of beer. The family is grateful for the care she received from Lali Phophkhadze.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 9:30-10:20 AM at Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to Pink Clover, Colleen Sorbello Breast Cancer Foundation, https://www.pinkcloverfoundation.org in her memory.

Masks are to be worn when visiting the family, to the Funeral Mass and Cemetery. Social distancing is to be observed.
