Thomas P. Amodei, Sr., 85, of West Chester, PA passed away on August 29, 2017.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1931, Thomas was the beloved son of the late Giovani and Concetta (Visco) Amodei.
He served honorably in the US Army and was the owner of the Red Sombrero Mexican Restaurant in Kennett Square. In 1979 Tom opened the first Carmine's Pizza in Westtown.
Thomas was the beloved husband of Mary F. (DeRose) Amodei; loving father of Kathy Branca (Joe) of Aston, PA, Thomas Amodei (Cheryl) of West Chester, PA and Carmine Amodei (Sheila) of West Chester, PA; devoted grandfather of Mariele Amodei, Natalie Amodei, Joseph Amodei, Alex Amodei, Domenic Branca, Kate Amodei (Jon), Maria Branca and Emily Amodei.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2017 and 8:30-9:30 Wednesday at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 followed by his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
