Thomas M. Bertele

Thomas M. "Tom" Bertele, age 71, of Collingdale, PA, passed away on September 7, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1953, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (nee McDevitt) Bertele. Tom was a graduate of St. Alice School, where he made lifelong friends, and a 1971 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School. He worked for Merck for 20+ years. Tom was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Eagles and the Phillies. He enjoyed singing along to the Beatles and dancing the Jitterbug. Tom spent many summers in North Wildwood, NJ. He was known for his great sense of humor and infectious smile.

Tom was the beloved husband of Patricia "Pat" (nee Bench) Bertele, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage; loving father of Jaclyn Leonetti (Brian), Christine Bertele, Patricia Bartolomeo (Justin), and Thomas Bertele, Jr.; caring grandfather of Brian, Anthony, Jaxon, Luca, Haleigh, Daniel, and Briella; dear brother of George Bertele (Patti), Karen Smith (Mike), and Lori Jacobi (Scott).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:00-10:30 AM Saturday, September 14, 2024 at St. Joseph Church, 500 Woodlawn Avenue, Collingdale, PA 19023, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
