Tom, or Uncle Tommy, as he was affectionately known by so many of his relatives and friends, was good natured and warm hearted. He worked tirelessly and was fully dedicated to providing for his dear bride, Rose and the family they created together. He was renowned by all for his great smile and positive attitude towards everything in life, good and bad. His disposition was repeatedly noted by his diligent doctors, nurses and caregivers at Bryn Mawr Hospital during his most recent stay. He was a gifted story-teller, who found great joy in telling of a good tale as well as listening to everyone else's. He made everyone feel important with his kind and generous spirit. He had a deep appreciation for all things of beauty: be it his lovingly tendered gardens, his hand rendered paintings of ships, seascapes and lighthouses or in the play of the clouds and colors of the setting sun. His deepest fullfillment was found spending time with his family in the home which he designed and treasured so. The son of Irish immigrants from Counties Donegal and Mayo he served God, Country, Wife and Family relying on his firm faith that he often expressed through our ancestor's motto: "Dominus Providebit"; "The Lord Will Provide". On a cool, crisp October eve, we sadly bid farewell to our Dad, as he lived, with a smile and a song.
