Born in Philadelphia, He was the son of the late Thomas J. and Pauline T. Cappie (nee Sader). Thomas attended Monsignor Bonner and Saint Joseph's University. He was self-employed as a general contractor.
Thomas was the beloved husband of Janet C. Cappie (nee Carrozzino); Loving father of Lisa Cappie Holahan (Patrick), Thomas R. Cappie Jr. (Jeneen) and Jenny C. Blaxland (Tom). Dear brother of Carol Azpell (Walter) and Barbara J. Donahue (Donald). Devoted grandfather of Jay, Emily, Jeff, Julia and Finn.
