Thomas Cassidy

Thomas J. "Tom" Cassidy, age 93, of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully at home, on June 12, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Patrick Maurice and Rosanna Cassidy (nee Troy). Tom was a graduate of St. Thomas More High School '41 and St. Joseph's College (now University) '50, both in Philadelphia.
Tom served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed as an Auditor in the General Accounting Office of the United States Government.
He was predeceased by his siblings Mary, Lewis and Charles. Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian M. Cassidy (nee McHugh), his loving children Sheila C. Nealis (Timothy), Christopher M. Cassidy (Joanne), Eileen R. Cassidy and John P. Cassidy (Carole), his sister, Dolores Barr and his dear grandchildren Dan, Michael, Greg, Andrew, Julianne, Matthew, Peter, Suzanne, Allison, Craig and Carly. Also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, June 19, 2017 9:30-10:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA. Interment St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tom's memory to Taylor Hospice, 175 E. Chester Pike, Ridley Park, PA 19078 would be appreciated.
