Thomas Edward Higgins, DDS, 90, of Downingtown, PA, formerly of Newtown Square, and West Chester passed away on April 16, 2014. World War II Veteran USMC.
Born in 1923 in Coatesville, PA, Thomas was the son of the late Thomas E. Higgins and Kathryn (O'Brien) Higgins.
He was the beloved husband of the late Frances C. Higgins; loving father of Rev. Thomas M. Higgins, Michael J. Higgins (Lorie), Brian J. Higgins (Sharon), Stephen J. Higgins (Ann), Joseph P. Higgins (Sue), Megan E. Johnson (Michael) and James P. Higgins (MaryAnn); dear grandfather of Matthew Higgins, Bridget Higgins, Monica Higgins, Ryan Higgins, Benjamin Higgins, Kevin Johnson, Aidan Johnson, Sean Johnson, Thomas Higgins and Jack Higgins.
Thomas served honorably in the US Marine Corps during World War II.
He was a graduate of Villanova University and Temple University Dental School. His dental practice was located in Newtown Square for over 40 years.
Thomas was an avid Bridge player and he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Int. SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
