Thomas O'Neill

May 18, 1946 — December 28, 2020

Thomas J. “Tim” O’Neill, age 74, of Elverson, PA, formerly of Ardmore and Wilkes Barre, PA, a faithful son of God passed away on December 28, 2020 and awaits the return of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born in Wilkes Barre, PA to the late Thomas D. and Helen (nee Loughlin) O’Neill.

Tim was the beloved husband of Kathleen R. (nee Conboy) O’Neill; loving father of Jennifer Secord (late Dean), Amy DeFullers (Eric), Margaret “Peg” O’Neill, Melissa Root (Benjamin), Thomas J. “Jim” O’Neill (Jackie), Brian O’Neill (Maria), and the late Daniel O’Neill. He was the dear brother of Mollie Wills. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Angelica, Maura, Mark (Kristen), Caleb, Cecilia, and Mackenzie and his 2 great grandchildren Madison and Jordan.

Tim graduated from Villanova Law School in 1971 and spent his entire career in municipal finance. He is considered by his peers as the foremost expert on Bond Law. Quick witted and personable, he was a great mentor and friend. He spent the last 25 years practicing at Lamb McErlane PC, which he considered more like a family than a place of employment.

As a Household coordinator with the Way International Tim taught the truth of the Word of God with simplicity. He assisted thousands of believers to understand and to live the scriptures as he did “a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth”.

Tim’s greatest joy was his beloved family. They gave him strength and comfort in all categories of his life. His best times were sharing Sunday dinner and good wine with all gathered around the table. His Friday movie nights with his grandchildren were an event not to be missed; especially Poppop’s famous fish and M&M’s. He was a great storyteller and was always ready to make others laugh.

Having been gainfully employed since the age of 8 and rarely slowing down, he taught us all how to work hard, how to love with passion, and how to be men and women of integrity. We are forever grateful.

Due to the current pandemic and the family’s desire to receive your love and support graciously a Life Celebration Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Villanova Law School Class of 1971 Scholarship Fund c/o Lamb McErlane, PO Box 565, West Chester, PA, 19381.

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: the Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: the Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Numbers 6:24-26
