Thomas Dean Noden

October 28, 1957 — April 10, 2024

Thomas Dean "Tom" Noden, age 66, of West Chester, PA, passed away on April 10, 2024.

Born in Chester, PA in 1957, he was the son of the late Robert and Catherine (nee Bachle) Noden. He graduated from DelVal VoTech in 1976 and then attended Williamson Trade School for power plant design before moving into automation and control systems. After graduating, Tom was recruited to Bailey Controls, Cleveland, OH. He moved to Detroit, with Bailey Controls and learned control systems and combustion design. His work required a lot of travel to many states and in 1981, he took a contract in Saudi Arabia for a year, then to Yemen in 1982. Tom moved back in with his parents after he had his fill of traveling and enrolled in Delaware County Community College. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering at Widener University in 1988. After joining United Engineers, Philadelphia, Tom had various projects with Allegheny P&L coal plant. He took a job at Honeywell Controls in Fort Washington and then moved to Sunoco in Marcus Hook Refinery for 10 years. In his free time, Tom bought a house in Chichester, gutted it, and renovated it while living there. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to begin acquiring investment properties in 1989. Tom was involved in many local Real Estate Investment Groups.

Tom met his wife, Judy, on a blind date in 1997 after being set up by a classmate. They were married in 1998 and had a son, TJ, in 2000. Tom attended any sport that TJ was involved in and they enjoyed scouting together until 2018 when TJ earned his Eagle Scout. In 2010, Tom and Judy bought an old 1835 converted horse stable which Tom gutted and renovated over many years.

Tom's faith was important to him throughout his life. With his parents, he attended First Baptist Church of Ogden where he was influenced by Pastor Gilbert Watt. He was baptized at age 12, Tom continued to attend church during his time at Williamson Trade School and while he was in Michigan. Both he and Judy attended Calvary Chapel of Delaware County.

Tom was the beloved husband of Judith Lynn (nee Button) Noden; loving father of Thomas Noden and Ashley Struble-Lane (Cory); dear brother of Donald Noden, Roberta Risinger (Joseph), and Steve Noden (Camille).
