Thomas (Tom, Tommy, TJ, Cheddar) James Sheehan, age 28, of Breckenridge, CO, formerly of West Chester, PA, passed away on July 2, 2020. Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of Thomas Patrick and Catherine H. Sheehan (nee Hayes).
Tom was a friend to all, with a smile and joke to light up a room. An avid sports fan, he loved all Philadelphia pro sports, Temple, Penn State, and Villanova’s football and basketball teams. With his vast knowledge of sports trivia, Tom was always ready for a friendly discussion (or argument) about any player or team. Tom enjoyed skiing, hiking, golfing, swimming, and the outdoors. ”Cheddar” swam for Waterview Swim Club, Rustin High, and Temple Swim Club. He enjoyed writing and performing his own comedy material for open mic nights in West Chester and Breckenridge. Tom was a proud graduate of Rustin High School (2010) and Temple University (2014). After 3 years working on the ski mountain, he was most recently employed by Vail/Doubletree resorts as concierge and front desk.
Tom was the beloved brother of Dana LaColla (John) and Jimmy Sheehan. He is also survived by his loving grandparents Thomas J. Sheehan and Barbara Sheehan, 19 aunts and uncles, 27 cousins and countless second cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents James R. and Helena I. Hayes and uncle Daniel Hayes.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, July 16, 6:00-8:00 PM at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA 19382 and Friday, July 17, 10:00-11:00 AM at SS Simon & Jude Church, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
