Timothy J Gannett, 38 of West Chester, PA, passed away June 9, 2023.
Born March 27, 1985 in Kingston , NY, he was a son of Margaret (nee Flynn) Gannett and Bruce Gannett.
Tim had always displayed the ultimate traits of caring and kindness to all around him while being confident and determined. He was selfless and a devoted friend to so many and was fortunate to share a special bond with brother Jeff and sister Molly. His Mom and Dad were his greatest fans and although he never asked for anything he always did his very best to make them proud. His relationship with wife Luisa was so special to him. Their love and respect for each other was obvious to all as their life together was just getting starting.
Tim was born in Kingston, NY, and spent his childhood in Raleigh, NC, then Tampa, FL, before finally settling in Chester County, PA, when he was starting 6th grade. He graduated from Great Valley High School where he wrestled and played lacrosse. He attended St. Joseph University where he earned a B.S. in Marketing from the Haub School of Business. He became a commercial real estate appraiser and worked with various real estate firms in Philadelphia area.
He was an avid Philadelphia professional sports fan but his true love was the St. Joe’s Hawks basketball team. He often attended their games and kept track of all the details associated with the program. Tim loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to Europe to sightsee and attend many outdoor sports. He was a life long snowboarder and made a yearly pilgrimage to Stowe, VT with his family to enjoy a great day on the slopes and a good time in the village. He went to hundreds of concerts with Jeff, Molly and the “cousins” and spent many nights watching his extensive movie collection with Luisa. His recent visits to Fort Mifflin, Valley Forge, and Harpers Ferry supported his love for military history.
Tim was the beloved husband of Luisa, loving brother of Jeffrey Gannett (Lauren), Molly Gannett (Christopher Smith), and adoring uncle of Taylor and Emma. Tim will also be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
