TJ Edward Tribbet

Ed was a true collector at heart. He spent many of his days hunting for comic books, ephemera and eclectic collectibles. By bus, train or on foot he scoured the city of Philadelphia visiting pawn shops, antique stores, pop-up flea markets, comic and record stores looking for the rare find he could acquire on a budget. He was a staple at many of the area comic book conventions -for years- often arriving with a suitcase stuffed with his finds ready to sell or trade to the dealers at the shows. He was always jovial, light-hearted and had an infectious laugh but would not hesitate to stand firm on a deal - making sure he got the value he thought he deserved. 

 

Ed’s devotion to collecting sustained him in more ways than one. He will always be remembered by his fellow collectors as he was as unique and unforgettable as the many treasures he acquired throughout the years.  

 

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Montrose Cemetery, 8504 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA.  He is being interred with his beloved mother Evelyn Calwell.
