Gertrude "Trudy" Gildea of Lansdowne PA, passed away suddenly on November 28, 2014 at the age of 57. Born in 1957 to John (deceased) and Teresa Gildea of Ardara, County Donegal, Ireland, she attended Our Mother of Good Counsel Grade School in Bryn Mawr PA, and graduated from Archbishop Carroll High School for Girls in 1975.
Exhibiting artistic skills from a young age, she attended The Philadelphia College of Art where she graduated in 1979. She continued developing her artistic skills throughout her life including drawing and painting, and in her work in the Printing Industry. She was an avid collector and loved animals including her kitties: Angel, Blade, Squeek and Jade.
She is survived by her mother Teresa Gildea of West Chester PA. her sister Patty (Richard) Cleveland and their daughters Katie and Jamie of Wayne PA, and her brothers John Gildea of Gladwyne, PA, Kevin Gildea of West Chester, PA and Brendan Gildea of Ardmore, PA.
A private Memorial Service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals, 328 Upper Gulph Road, Radnor, PA 19087.
