Virginia Farling

January 1, 1924 — January 13, 2019

Virginia (Ginny) Muriel Spencer Farling passed away on Sunday, January 13th at the age of 95, surrounded by her loving family in West Chester, Pa.

Ginny was the youngest of six children, born in 1924 in North Braddock, Pa.

She was predeceased by her first husband, William Spencer and her second husband Howard Farling.

She is survived by her four children, William, James (Elvie), Sharon Huebner (William) and Robert (Karen).

Ginny is also survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, William, Kathleen, Amy, Gretchen and Robin.

Ginny also had 11 adoring great grandchildren.

She loved being surrounded by children and they loved their Grandma Ginny.

Ginny was a wonderful friend to all who were fortunate to know her.

She enjoyed many group activities including an active membership in the Swarthmore Women's Club, during her years raising her family in Swarthmore.

She was always ready for any adventure, big or small that came her way.

Ginny

was an accomplished athlete excelling on the tennis court and in her later years the golf course.

She especially loved playing golf during her winters in Florida where she always wore a smile and said "isn't the weather just the best!."

Although Ginny was not a career woman, she held many interesting part time jobs, including transporting disabled children to and from school and bookkeeping for the Davidson Publishing Company.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Rd., West Chester, Pa., at 10:30 AM on Tuesday January 22nd with visiting one hour before Mass. Ginny will be laid to rest next to her first husband Bill in The Chester Rural Cemetery.
