Virginia A. Meyer (nee Martini), age 78, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on August 1, 2017.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Virginia was the daughter of the late Edwin J. and Cecilia A. (nee Spille) Martini. She spent many happy days playing pinochle at the Senior Center in Media. She loved to pass the time on her back porch by watching the hummingbirds and goldfinches at her backyard feeders. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble and doing crossword puzzles.
Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Roy C. Meyer, the loving mother of Laura Tope, Susan Bethard (Joseph), Andrew Meyer, and her predeceased daughter, Alice Meyer. She was the devoted grandmother of Kim, Joellen, and Austin Roy, and great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Diana Vaughn, and her brother, Dale Martini. She was predeceased by her brother Edwin J. Martini, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday, August 7, 2017, 10:00 -11:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-356-1613. Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
