Vladimir was an accomplished physician who practiced as a pediatrician and an internal medicine physician in Romania for close to 15 years. He was a medical director and Chief of Staff of the Pediatric division at the Lehliu Gara Hospital in Romania.
After moving to the United States, Vladimir held a few non-medical positions, but he never let go of his life calling of healing people. He truly lived the American dream and loved everything America offered to him and his family. He joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1995 and held senior positions, including as a medical and safety monitor at Medex and Pharmanet. For the last 10 years of his career he was Director of Safety and Pharmacovigilance at Pfizer in several therapeutic areas, until his retirement in June 2021.
Vladimir was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and father in law. He was full of energy and vitality, had a fantastic sense of humor, and a most generous heart. He loved watching sports, mainly soccer and tennis, a former player of both himself, and a ping pong champion in his youth. He lived life fully, always with a positive outlook and a big smile on his face. His love of family, food, travel, celebrating life with a passion, being a devoted friend and a mentor to many, especially his grandchildren, was unbelievable & admirable. He has faced adversity with his head held high and always advocated for what is right.
He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. A life well lived!
