Walter John Erb

Walter John Erb, age 68, passed away December 30, 2023.  Beloved son to the late Walter and Helen D. (nee Frisch) Erb.

Walter is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen (nee McGovern) Erb; Daughter, Pamela Ann Franks; Grandchildren, Nathalie and Hayden; Sisters, Mary Ann Tucker (Late Thomas), Madaline “Midge” Cahill (Late Albert).  He was predeceased by his dear sister Dolores Martin.

Walter was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Nativity BVM Church for 35 years.

He loved golfing, fishing, going to the beach at Lewes, DE and time at his pool.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and having breakfast with his sister, as well as lunch with his “school buddies”. As his grandson stated, his Pop was a role model to him.  

Walt was a talented heavy equipment operator for many years in the building industry. In later years he worked at Sutton Terrace, in Bala Cynwyd, where he was a devoted employee who was much loved by the residents.  

Walter touched everyone he met – he was kind, funny, loving, and loyal. He was always available to help family or friends when they needed his help. He took great pride in his property and his landscaping skills. He liked caring for all the birds and wildlife that visited his property.

Relatives and friends are invited to Walter’s Viewing Friday, January 5^th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Nativity BVM Church, 30 E Franklin St, Media, PA 19063, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.  Private Interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Walter’s name to Nativity BVM Church, 30 E. Franklin Street, Media, PA 19063, would be greatly appreciated.
