Walter Scott

December 15, 1932 — April 9, 2019

Walter L. "Scotty" Scott, 86, of Coatesville, PA passed away peacefully at his home on April 9, 2019.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Walter Scott and Elva Johnston.

He was the beloved husband of Marcia E. (Walton) Scott; loving father of Deborah Leigh Scott and Marcia Marie Lyons (Thomas); devoted grandfather of Maria Panichelli, Daniel Panichelli, Emily Lyons-Micucci (Matt); great-grandfather of Parker Quinn Micucci and Greyson Daniel Micucci; dear brother of Elva Smith and step-brother of Linda Johnston. Predeceased by his brother John Scott.

Scotty was a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology.

He served honorably in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Scotty was an Estimator and the Business owner of Eastern Gunite Company, Inc. of Exton, PA.

He loved his family first and foremost, followed closely by his work. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, caring for and visiting his homes in the Pocono mountains and Bethany Beach.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-11:30 AM Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080 followed by his Service 11:40 AM. There will be a military memorial dedication following the service at the WL Scott Building, Exton, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, or to Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, tunnel2towers.org.
