Walter Weems

Walter D. Weems, age 83, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on February 10, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Walter B. and Olga Weems (nee Wilson).
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War era. He was employed as a courier for Elko, Fisher, McCabe and Rudman in Media, PA for 20 years. He retired in 2005. Mr. Weems was a poet and a writer for the News of Delaware County.
Walter was predeceased by his wife Mary Stella Weems (nee Stratoti). He is survived by his children Donna Weems and David Weems, his grandchildren Gabrielle, Marcelle and Danielle and his sister Dorothy Wolfe.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, February 13, 2015 12:30-1:30 PM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Service at 1:30 PM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
