William F. X. Bannon, 59, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on March 2, 2014. Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of Sara Bannon (nee Connor) and the late Joseph Bannon.
Bill was a 1972 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a burner welder with Union Local 332 in Philadelphia for 30 years.
In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by his wife Debbie A. Bannon (nee Haughey), his daughters Aimee (Gerry Bowen), Rebecca and Melissa Bannon, his 4 grandchildren, his siblings Joseph (Diane) Bannon, James (Margaret) Bannon, Sara Corbett, and Paul (Maria) Bannon, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Tuesday, March 11, 2014 9:30-10:25 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment is private.
